I'm Not Vain, No *Really*...

Is it wrong of me to rejoice that one of the top authors of a fandom has listed one of my stories as one of her favorites? Does the fact that I all but danced a jig in my computer seat mean I'm a glory-hound? Does the fact that I'm musing about this at all indicate my failing grasp of the line between reality and obsession? Does the fact that I don't care too figs either way really matter?
