moonbeamsfanfic: (Metallicar - Impala from Supernatural)
I totally just wrote this today because [livejournal.com profile] shade_shifter wanted it dared me to. Hi, Shifty! ::waves:: Look what I did! Don't worry if you don't get all the TF nuances... neither does Dean. XP

ETA: Now with bonus cracky comment-fic, because people keep daring me to! ACK! *eg*

Breaking your teeth on the hard life coming/Cutting your feet on the hard earth running... )

Am still sick. Still badly congested, still have a fever, still exhausted, and still feel like death would be a step up from my current condition.

I may not be going to work tomorrow at this rate. We shall see how I feel in the morning. ::goes off to cough up a lung::
moonbeamsfanfic: (What More Do You Want?)
I feel awful. Couldn't sleep last night due to a killer sore throat. Still got the sore throat today but have also added in sinus congestion, body aches, and a fever. Also, I'm bloody exhausted but can't seem to sleep any.

So of course I find myself writing frakken' porn!

And not even one of the porn fics I should be writing, like the next installment in the Ping-Pong !verse. But, oh yes, an entirely NEW fic thanks to -- once again -- that evil of evils [livejournal.com profile] tfanonkink, the Transformers Anonymous Kink Meme.

Why I keep reading that I have no idea. It's never a good host: all pushy and demanding. Don't you know I have the flu and feel like death warmed (way) over? Have a little mercy on a sick soul!

::blows nose::

Excuse me, I have to go back to writing my (God help me) Grimlock/Seekers fic response now. ::headdesks::

I will leave you with the line that instantly popped into my head when I read the request... ...which took over my brain and spurred me to write this travesty even in my miserable state. )
moonbeamsfanfic: (Zombie Jesus! - Farnsworth from Futurama)
Just for the record, I double-checked that none of my sparkling names are claimed in canon. Whether any of them have been used for fan characters, I do not know. If so, it was entirely accidental and coincidental. M'kay?

\o/ Yay, I finished! What started out as a little ficlet crack-bunny had the nerve to grow and evolve into a real story -- it was the Fic That Could! It had me writing it every spare moment I was awake (and sometimes while I was asleep!) to finish it, and now I finally did. Thank Primus!

Right! On to the next project! XD

P.S. I opted not to raise the rating on account of this sparksex business being awfully damn tame in comparison to my usual porn. ;P
moonbeamsfanfic: (Permission to Sin - Don from Numb3rs)
Inspired by my reading and loving of Aeos on the non-sticky page of the [livejournal.com profile] tfanonkink meme, I just couldn't help myself. I had to try my own hand at the classic fandom trope of Seekers in heat and going through breeding cycles.

And then it didn't even turn out as cracky as I was expecting! The nerve! ;P

moonbeamsfanfic: (Transformers Faction Symbols)
So I'm reading and absolutely loving Aeos on the non-sticky page of the [livejournal.com profile] tfanonkink meme, and I just couldn't stop thinking about how funny the truth is. There really ARE a lot of those Seekers in heat and breeding cycle kinds of stories going around -- and I think I've read most of 'em!

And then the next thing I knew I was writing this... ;P

EDIT: Added about 400 more words 2 hours later to round out the chapter, in case you read the first bit previously. ;)
moonbeamsfanfic: (Yay!)
Yay, it's another installment of the Jack-fic crossovers! Ostensibly written for the [livejournal.com profile] 10_inspirations challenge, although it's taking me way too long to get through. Seven more to go! ;P

This totally doesn't count as part of the porn ping-pong. It's not even enough to be a side-story, more of a side... drabble. Or drabble-and-a-half, I guess.

Either way, it's not my fault! XD

Some spectators of this sport aren't enjoying the game as much as we are. ::snickers:: )

Looking forward to whatever porny goodness the evil bunnies end up leaving you with, [livejournal.com profile] katsuko. LOL!
moonbeamsfanfic: (C is for Crack)
Right. So, [livejournal.com profile] katsuko has some kind of evil perverted porn ping-pong powers that I am apparently helpless to resist. She started it by writing this amazingly kinky prompt, which I then had to write. Then she makes it worse by writing a sequel to my fic! That fiend! But the true devious qualities of her ploy are revealed when her sequel entices me into a writing a sequel of my own. A sequel to her sequel, no less!

Yes, yes my friends, she is truly an evil evil creature. With her around, the porn never ends! *eg*

EDIT: Changed the title. ::shrugs:: Dang titles are always the hardest part for me.
moonbeamsfanfic: (*surfing for porn* - Lex from Smallville)
This is the Bonus Chapter written for a prompt on the Transformers Anonymous Kink Meme at [livejournal.com profile] tfanonkink. Please read the original story, Size Doesn't Matter, Except When It Does, first. Thank you!

Night monitoring duty -- not so boring after all! )
moonbeamsfanfic: (*surfing for porn* - Lex from Smallville)
Written for the Transformers Anonymous Kink Meme at [livejournal.com profile] tfanonkink. Original prompt requested Rumble/Starscream size difference with a twist. Kinks include reverse size difference, self-interfacing, voyeurism, competitiveness, dirty talk, multiple overloads, oral, winglust, and snark. Lots and lots of snark! (Oy, those two wouldn't shut up for the snark! *eg*)

Title: Size Doesn't Matter, Except When It Does
Author: Moonbeam's Predilections
Genre: Transformers G1 -- Kink fic
Pairing: Rumble/Starscream
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 8,127 (main story), 2,142 (bonus chapter), 10,269 words total

Summary:
Most Cybertronians have both a spike and a valve, but an unlucky few are only either/or. Rumble formatted as spike-only; Starscream as valve-only. Both suffer disadvantages that often lead to them avoiding interface in favour of self-service. Then Rumble discovers Starscream's similar but opposite problem, and decides to put two and two together to their mutual satisfaction. Sticky, obviously!

Good things DO come in small packages! )
moonbeamsfanfic: (Subtext What Subtext? - Big Wolf on Camp)
Over the years, I've become a lot more discerning about the quality of fiction I'll read. Despite working in a library, I rarely read books anymore because the quality of the writing for most pro-fic absolutely sucks in comparison to amateur fanfic authors who write because they love it, instead of just because they're paid for it.

Because of that, my standards for high-quality fic have risen drastically over the years. But one thing seems to have remained the same: my love for detailed world-building. Any author who can take a concept and develop it so thoroughly that I end up living and breathing it, seeing it as its own reality, even dreaming about it at night? Those are the stories I love the most, the ones I never forget, and keep going back to over and over again. They are stories which do more than just explore the characters or follow a cunning plot, they are stories that feel alive... rich and immense with detail, background, meaning and future possibilties. They are stories which have created a reality all their own, one which when done well, can often feel more real than canon.

There are several authors I can think of off the top of my head who do this with ease:

1. Macx (aka Gryph) with her undisputed Fire & Ice series in the Knight Rider fandom

2. James Walkswithwind (aka [livejournal.com profile] zortified) with her enormously popular 'Centaur AU That Eats Fandoms', to which the world-building was so rich I came to love a show I'd never even heard of just through reading it. (To this day, I've never seen an episode of Houston Knights despite reading several hundred fics for it.)

3. Nix (aka [livejournal.com profile] crimsonquills) who continued the Centaur AU brilliantly into two new fandoms and gave it even more depth and richness.

4. Red Wolf (aka [livejournal.com profile] redwolfoz) whose werewolves Wolf and Declan have been part of my personal life for so long I've claimed Dec as my own perfect mate. Alas, too bad he's ficitonal. ::pouts::

5. TenthMuse1 who seems to excel in world-builing, even if her most popular one is a world I don't particularly like.

6. Jennifer Lyon and Suzanne Bickerstaff with their classic, beloved fantasy X-Files novels, The Magician Trilogy (in four books).

7. Sam (aka [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge)'s better-than-canon Sirius and Remus raising Harry Potter AU.

8. Domenika Marzione (aka [livejournal.com profile] miss_porcupine) who has taken the flippant world of Stargate: Atlantis and given it's military a voice and believability, as well a host of characters the readers keep looking for every episode despite them not actually being canon.

9. Susan Foster's Sentinel GDP AU, which while often unpleasant, no can deny has a life of its own.

and of course,

10. The entire Magnificent Seven fandom, who cooperatively brought to life the ATF AU based off of one tiny little fic by Mog.

And now the newest name to add to my list, Sanjuno Shori Niko (aka [livejournal.com profile] sanjuno), who's taken the original G1 of Transformers and built an entire culture from the dregs of canon. A culture that revolves around my favourite characters, the sleek and gorgeous Seekers: Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp.

The Nine Rings of Vos, A Transformers G1 Fanfic
by Sanjuno Shori Niko

Summary: The Seekers have a plan, one that spans the entire length of the war, and is now coming to fruition. Soundwave and the Cassettacons get caught up in the plot, and somehow cannot find it in their sparks to regret any of it. As for the Autobot and Decepticon factions, well, they are all just really, really confused.

Link goes to the main timeline of series that span over 50 stories and millions of years. It's fun, full of humour and love, and best of all... builds a world I can't help but love.
